Lauren Bristol,

Assistant Band Director

Lauren Bristol is excited to start in her first year teaching as the Assistant Director of Bands at Paschal High School. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of North Texas with her Bachelors in Music, majoring in Music Education.

Throughout her time at UNT, she studied clarinet with Professor Daryl Coad and performed in various ensembles with the UNT Wind Studies program. She also served as an Administrative Chair and Clarinet Squad Leader in the UNT Green Brigade, the Vice President of Service and Music Committee Chair of the Xi Beta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, and helped charter the Women's Band Directors International chapter at UNT. 

Outside of UNT, Ms. Bristol served as a Drum Major for Vanguard Cadets in 2022, where the corps was awarded the title of DCI Open Class Champions. She was then contracted as a Drum Major for Santa Clara Vanguard in 2023 and 2024, getting an opportunity to serve during her age out after the drum corps' hiatus. 

Ms. Bristol student taught at Wester Middle School and Centennial High School in Frisco, TX, and worked with the Northwest High School Band and Prosper High School Band during their 2023 and 2024 marching seasons. While on staff with the Prosper High School Band, the band was a contender at the UIL 6A State Marching Band Contest in both 2023 and 2024 and placed 11th in finals at the BOA Grand Nationals Championships in 2024. 

Originally from the Austin area, Ms. Bristol went to high school in Collierville, TN prior to her time in Denton, TX. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, drinking coffee and tea, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
